Job Title: Software Developer 2
Job Duties:
- Design, develop, implement, test and document distributed software applications, tools, systems and services.
- Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
- Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new and/or existing software products and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and regression testing.
- During the release cycle, produce comprehensive and usable documentation for the software applications.
- Participate in the Agile Scrum development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
- ****Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time from anywhere in the United States with no travel involved.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field, or foreign equivalent degree; plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation.
- Also must possess two (2) years of experience in all of the following: 1) planning and implementing the development of website applications from planning stage through project completion; 2) developing code for website applications; 3) performing testing of website applications; 4) preparing usable documentation for the website applications; 5) building mockups based on the requirements and design patterns; 6) working with HTML, CSS, and SQL; 7) working with JavaScript or React; 8) working with Scala, PHP or Python; 9) working with database systems such as PostgreSQL or MySQL; 10) working with Business Analytics tools using JIRA; and 11) working with Git for version control.
